Drawing on insights from law enforcement and survivors of assault, we cover techniques that allow you to defend yourself effectively in a range of situations, including close encounters and ground defenses.

What you’ll learn.

Control and Distance Management: You’ll learn how to maintain safe distance, establish boundaries, and prevent threats from getting too close. We’ll practice techniques for setting physical and verbal boundaries, empowering you to defuse potential situations before they escalate.

Ground Submissions: Understanding how to protect yourself when a fight goes to the ground is a key focus of our training. In many real-life scenarios, altercations end up on the ground, where knowing how to defend yourself is crucial. We specialize in teaching defensive ground techniques that give you the best chance to survive and regain control.

Principles of Jiu-Jitsu: Our training is rooted in the principles of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a martial art developed to help smaller individuals defend themselves against larger opponents. You’ll learn how to leverage positioning and technique—not brute strength—to escape, subdue, and ultimately protect yourself in challenging situations.
